I wrote these songs for the people I drink my first cup with every morning. Today I'm finally letting them out.

There was a stretch of this year that was the hardest I've had. What got me through it wasn't anything big — it was four people, one bad coffee machine, and the same cup at the same time every day. Nobody founded the Morning Coffee Club. Somebody just stood up one morning and said "coffee", and three people stood up too. That's the whole story. That's why it works.

These five songs are for them. For the days they carried me without asking what was wrong. For the mornings nobody had to talk yet. For still being there at nine. This is my thank-you and my love letter — to my team, and to the small ritual that gives me new energy every single morning.
